At Stick Pet, we take injured sticks and rehabilitate them, giving them a chance at a new non-life. A stick is a home for animals, a tool, a playground for the imagination. It is also a child of Mommy and Daddy Trees, who hate humans and sometimes try to take us out during thunderstorms as revenge. But anyways--with your sponsorship, you empower us to protect that one stick, take care of it, and allow it to thrive.
When you are ready, we can also teach you how to exercise your will over sticks and domesticate them as pets. Stick pets, if you will.
As you get involved in the stick world and embark on your own StickVenture (copyright pending), you may also get the chance to turn things around for yourself. Maybe not 180 degrees but closer to 60-70ish degrees. You will still have challenges, really big and embarrassing ones it seems, but now you can just ignore them while they fester.
We believe that a stick is not just a piece of wood, but a character in the grand narrative of humans’ need to assert dominance over nature and anthropomorphize non-living things. And that is a beautiful thing.
